Actually the landing was by barge and not by air. It is located on the west coast of Thetis Island about half way between Crescent Point and Fraser Point. But it is, in fact, an actual Boeing 737 airframe. The airframe is destined to be sunk just off of Chemainus on the east coast of Vancouver Island for an artificial reef marine life habitat and diver attraction.
